Anymore info anyone?

Anymore info anyone?

Why, might I ask?

I'm calling them again this week, and their brokerage firm, Sierra, just to see what is up.

I heard from a contact in Maz that the sales office got demolished back in April ... after we left. So, I want to get the scoop as what is happening.

NO more money for them, until I get a written guarantee - in Spanish too - of their promises.

No guarantee. No money.

I'll write the deposit off as a lesson learned the hard way.

My wife and I are in agreement with that aspect of it. We have drafted up some serious questions to ask by phone.

I'll be weighing in heavily into whomever I get on the phone, and I won't be tolerating any procrastination.

  1. You said "No more money until you get a written guarantee".

You will probably get your written guarantee, but they will still screw you. They have a reputation for ignoring contracts. You will lose your money; all of it, your deposit and any new money you send.

  2. I bought at Torrenza on 2008 with one white week. I go twice a year to MZT and am watching the construction. I am happy to say that when I visited Nov 22, 2009 I saw the basement complete, the floor above the basement finished and the reebar in place. A German company is now doing the construction.
I am also happy to say that the Nolans have been fired and are now at another location with suits against them both. Now all the Torrenza sales people are previously real estate agents. I visited the new boutique hotel which is almost ready for occupancy. The Balboa, near the Golden Zone, has been purchsed and renovation has begun. I am happy to know that I can use my "week" (I bought pre-model) at either place instead of adding more $$ to Torrenza and I can stay at the either hotel next visit to MZT.
I was not pressured to buy more "ownership". Mario explained in detail how Torrenza (and other TS companies) are now "taking" your current timeshares off your hands. No money exchanged but the "value" is deducted from the new investment.
I am currently in MZT until Dec 9, 2009 in case anyone has questions I can research for you.

  3. There is no basement complete and no floor above the basement. Today is December 2, 2009. They are digging around but doesn't look like any REAL progress has been made since one year ago.

  4. Does anyone have actual pictures of the building site, so that we can all see what the reality actually is? I would appreciate it, as would my wife and brother and his wife! Thaks

  5. I am very surprised by the comments that the building has begun - I was there at the same time as Dana may - from Nov 20th to Dec 7th and there was NO BASEMENT AND NO BUILDING GOING ON. In addition, the salesman Luis, told me that there would be no building occuring for another three years and that was why i was getting such a good deal on the "foreclosure" because not only was I purchasing "pre-construction" but i was purchasing the "unit" that had been foreclosed on.

  6. We were there from Nov 23 to Dec 14-09. We were taken last year and Johnny said all the bad guys were gone. Johnny gave us Antonio as our sales person since he heard we were unhappy campers. Antonio is a lawyer. On November 25 Johnny then set up a "smoke-screen" ts for a 2b2b for $38,750. We were shocked that we actually signed charged slips for that amount.(What were we thinking?) They said they put it all on one card and and they didn't even need to set up another card since we already had one. When we got home we found out it was actually on 4 different cards. While checking our cc acct we wondered why we were only charged $18,750. He had promised that they would sell our GMayan timeshare as promised last year and cancel our ts from Tor from last year. Then he would cancel the $38,750 2b,2b. We went back to them and told them that the amount on the "resale" slip for money to us should be over $85,000 and he then wrote a new one for that total. All he kept telling us was to wait until the dust cleared and we would have our money and no timeshares. We went to perfeco within the five days and are still battling it as of today-1-26-10. Actually, there were a few men "working" when we were looking at the basement area. Now we have a letter from them asking for our maintainance fee that we can use for Torrenza Bonita. When we were there at Bonita they were starting to build a swimming pool. Personally I hope I never have the opportunity to use the facilities and all those timeshares will be cancelled. We will see.

  8. This is the owner of Torrenza- Jose Miguel Coronel Hernandez & his right hand man is David Bernal. In case this can help. Probably can't get ahold of either though, I was too suckered into this scam, My sales rep gave me these names. He even told me they stopped paying employees so he quit and he has proof they do not want to pay out to new owners either. Had a time share through Westgate in Orlando, FL. Should have kept it and never even stepped foot in here. In April 2010, the Torrenza towers were supposedly being built with completion in 2012/2013.

  9. Jose Miguel Corenel has his office at the Torrenza Boutique. David Bernal was just the fool that helped collect cash outs and finish ripping people off. He has been blackballed in Mexico! The worm will show up with another scam elsewhere.

  10. Is ayone else gettng calls from "companies" who say that Torrenza has gone bankrupt and they are representing the Mayan Group and want to buy the poperty so they can utilize it? I was told that there is a class action suit, but I could find nothing on the pofeco website regarding Torrenza.
